Making the most of your funds

At Crimestoppers, funding of our core costs for national activities is met by a Home Office grant. This means that every pound we raise from donors and fundraising, both at a national and regional level, is spent on front-line activities.

The phone number- 0800 555 111

Donations to Crimestoppers allow us to operate our 0800 555 111 anonymous number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. This gives members of the public unlimited access to our vital service.

41% of crimes would not have become known to the police without information from Crimestoppers. So your support is imperative.

We are a charity - did you know that?

As we are the only independent charity in the UK dedicated to solving crime, awareness of our service is vital to our success. We promote the phone number across the UK so that more people are aware of our number. The more people who know our number, the more calls we will receive and the greater impact we can have on communities. Awareness campaigns are therefore crucial to our success; without them we would not be able to promote our essential work throughout communities. Your help gives communities a platform and a voice in the fight against crime. Thanks to such support, we are nationally recognised as a vital organisation that fights crime.

Most Wanted

The Most Wanted section of the website is one of our most celebrated successes. We've had over 100million hits to the website so far. After seeing wanted criminals on the Most Wanted site, the general public have passed on information that has helped to arrest and charge over 310 criminals. Your money helped to develop, implement and continue improving this service. Most Wanted has had a huge impact on our communities, helping take some of the most dangerous and wanted criminals off our streets.
