Hampshire and the Isle of Wight
Welcome to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Crimestoppers.
We're dedicated to helping to solve crimes and taking criminals off the streets across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Crimestoppers was established in 2005. Before this, we were part of the Southern Crimestoppers, which had served Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight since 1995. Now our focus is to help solve crimes and take criminals off the streets across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Last year, Crimestoppers received over 8,000 anonymous phone calls about crimes in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, of which 1,777 contained actionable information. During this period, there were at least 240 arrests in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, thanks to information we received. Attribution is not always possible and it's likely that the number arrested as a result of calls to Crimestoppers is higher. An arrest resulted from every 7.5 calls indicating the value placed by Hampshire Constabulary on information from Crimestoppers.
Did you know...?
We received 172 anonymous calls about drunk drivers in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight last year. This led to 47 people being arrested

An additional £5,000 has now also been added by Crimestoppers - making a total of £25,000. The reward can be claimed anonymously. The caller is given a code number and asked to nominate the branch of a bank. The money is sent to the manager who will release it to the person who - in private - gives the code number.
