West Mercia

Welcome to West Mercia Crimestoppers.

We're dedicated to fighting crime in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.

Over the last year, 258 criminals were arrested and charged in the region as a direct result of information you have given to Crimestoppers.

In 2006, some £136,935 worth of stolen property was recovered and a further £76,250 worth of drugs were seized, all thanks to people picking up the phone and giving information anonymously to Crimestoppers.

In our region, the Crimestoppers volunteer board comprises 12 members of the community, who give up their free time to organise events and promotions to raise the awareness of the anonymous Crimestoppers phone number, 0800 555 111, as well as giving presentations at schools, public meetings and to community groups to help spread the word.

In West Mercia, we also organise fundraising events, such as our annual Crimestoppers Ball.
